Amanda is a progressive Democrat. She cares deeply about many issues including combating climate change, supporting labor unions, implementing gun control, instituting humane immigration policies, fighting for racial justice, and building a strong social safety net that includes single-payer healthcare, affordable housing, excellent educational opportunities and social security. Additionally, Amanda has a passion for feminism and feminist issues.
Every city should have some female representation. Progressive women and minorities belong at the table wherever policy decisions are being made. When it comes to issues like reproductive justice and the eradication of domestic violence, women’s voices and experiences are crucial. Amanda’s fierce commitment to reproductive freedom, working towards eradicating domestic violence, protecting children emotionally and physically, and creating equality for women and LGBTQIAGNC folks is needed in our state house.
